Marker is the top-level object class for all of the markers that are placed directly on the game's map (for representing the ships, missiles, and other forces, as well as any planetary bodies which may be present during the scenario being gamed).
Usually, these markers will be the cardstock counters that were included within the boxed game, but these can also include any metal and/or plastic miniatures that were acquired separately.
Child Classes Edit
Each instance of the "Marker" object will have the following attributes.
- Location -- This integer value is the current location of the marker with regards to the game's map.
- Heading -- This integer value is the current heading of the marker with regards to the game's map.
- Velocity -- This integer value is the current velocity of the marker with regards to the game's map.
- Plot_Move -- This function plots the marker's future movement. Therefore, this function will be interactive only in the case of a Bogey. For a Planetoid, this function will give a constant result -- either the same projected heading and velocity for a moving body, or a null result for a stationary one. For an EMP (which is stationary), this function will likewise give a null result.
